Wanna continue our bond battle here?

I have to go away for the summer but I'll be back and I'm wanting to do some serious BB'ing. Now I know I'm somewhat to blame for having it deleted on gamefaqs due to inactivity but still I'd like to continue if anyones up for it.

I'd love to see the Bond Battle back for one last time, though with new characters.

I'd prefer to do it here, since there aren't any purges. Plus, LB can join in on the topic that brought the forum and these people together in the first place.

Count me in if you do decide to start one.

A question, though:

Thats a great idea. We definitely should do another bond battle. Right now our other story arena from here (not gamefaqs, one we did here a while ago) is open plus a deathmatch so if anything try to get a post or two on the deathmatch BB.

We should get a new BB though I agree with that. We should all start off weaker though, only us alone, maybe a few followers. Gradually take over territory and recruit more people into our army and things like that. We should try to incorporate areas of the world that we've never used yet. Or perhaps we should have a battle but in one specific area. We could all be let loose in the USA perhaps, each starting in a different state. We can start with very limited supplies and we have to use any means necessary to get more supplies, more soldiers, and some bases up and running.

As long as it is story-based rather than simply action-based, I won't mind.

That said, including the earth might make it larger and more varied. Plus, it's easier to think of evil plans or backstory for characters if we can include all countries on earth.

Gamefaqs I haven't been to in a long time. Other people are using commando accounts or accounts claiming to be me now in my honor every now and then on MBH and the Paranormal Conspiracy board so I think my work is done there for a while.

As for the BB I'd like it to be story based and I think we should use the whole world, as it allows for some cool scenarios. But yeah, we should start out small. Could we wait until the end of the summer if possible though?

The story based Bond battles have always done well so yes we should definitely do that. The whole world would be nice and would give for many possible outcomes. But yes we should start out small first. As I suggested at first we should all be in one state in the USA. We steadily get bigger armies, more bases. Eventually our notoreity gets too high so we flee the USA and gradually make our way to other continents and parts of the world. That gives tons of different soldier types we could have, lots of military technology, tons of weapons and all that other stuff.

The end of summer is fine I guess. If your not gonna be here we can start after summer and get the action going. I suppose this can be a suggestions like topic for the upcoming arena.

Hmm. I'm looking over the thread and I'm not sure the format really appeals to me--having control over other people's characters isn't my bag. Also, I'd like to play as a female and there's no real room for a badass chick in the Bond world.

However, I have a proposal--anyone want to start an Atlantis game? I have a storyline idea, but I guess I'd like to see if there's any support before writing up anything formal.

Here's the basic idea though: It is the year 2000 B.C. The legendary city of Atlantis has begun its infamous decline into the disfavor of the gods. The rich upper class and the government officials care nothing about philosophy, astronomy, music, or even proper worship; extorting the lower classes and funding their luxurious lifestyles has become their sole purpose, and the once-glorious city of the arts and sciences is falling into corruption and ruin. However, a handful of priests and priestesses, having seen the signs of the gods' displeasure, are planning open revolt. They've created an underground army fiercely dedicated to the gods of the Pantheon, hell-bent on restoring their beloved city to its former resplendence by whatever means necessary.

The power, influence, number, strategy, etc. of this rebel group is yet to be decided, of course, and we will need to have people with multiple characters for this to work out right. But I'm thinking if you guys like the idea, it could be pretty cool.

First off, I like the atlantis idea.

Concerning the Bond battle, there's definitely room for you if you wish. While it is called the Bond Battle, it really is a written war. In fact, it was really only the first ever Bond battle that stayed close to the Bond formula. Therefore, you can be whomever you want if you wish. We could do with another poster.

As for controlling other characters...unless I mistook you're meaning, there really shouldn't be too much of controlling the characters of others. It is necessary to guide other chracters along in order to continue the story, but as long was we give each other enough to extrapolate our next move, we won't see any points where you character will do something that you didn't wish for.

Yeah we control each others characters at times to further the story, but we all know whats appropriate and what isn't. For example we won't use another character to make a major decision (kill self, launch nuke, make alliance) ect.

Well yeah, I kind of figured. I guess I'm just not used to doing that--I'm much more addicted to live gaming than message boards. So I obviously just need to message-board more, eh?

DB- I mean, I know I can, but I'd prefer not to. The whole Bond thing just isn't my style of gaming at all--just like sports/racing games aren't my style, or soap operas. *shrug* Just never appealed to me. Cool idea though, I'll be keeping up with the game.

DB, I just got an idea.

When we get really far into our BB (like 800 posts) do you want to possibly bring some old characters back and intergate them into the new story? Like BNJ, AP, DDB, Zombie Commando, ect.? They gave the story a lot more personality I thought and so I figured after we have a well-developed battle under way we could some how bring them back. Just an idea.

Good idea! As long as they don't come all in at the same time, and are integrated well, I think it'll be a great idea.

I might not bring back DDB as a clone. Maybe a twin psychopathic brother or something.
