Indeed, the ninja was smart and intelligent and seemed to already know about DaBomb and Jeanluc as well as several other intruders. The ninja quickly abnd swiftly punched DB and JL in the gut which was surprisingly powerful. The punch knocked them out for a couple of minutes.
When the woke up about five minutes later, the ninja was gone. As they looked around they saw a message in blood on the wall. It read "Find me at Hal's laboratory. I can't tell you where it is. Just find his lab. You will find me there. Also you'll need a level 5 access card if you want to get in. You'll have to do some searching but you should procure one. This item next to the wall should help you on your mission."
DB and JL looked down at the wall and saw a card laying there. DaBomb picked it up and the saw that the card read "Level one pan access card. Opens all level 1 security locked doors." DB put the card in his pocket knowing that the card would probably come in handy for a few low level locked doors. The two people continued onwards not knowing where they were going.....

As the two walked through the corridors, inspecting every electronic lock they could find, trying not to grimace from the beating they had just recieved, they argued about the course of action.
JL: Hal...that sounds like a first name rather than a title.
DB: Strange. And remind me, why are we following this Ninja?
JL: Why not? Perhaps it will lead us to the metal gear-
DB: Or perhaps it will lead us to our deaths. Curiosity kills, JL. We have seen that it can kill us or a squad of guards in seconds.
JL: Let's be truthful, here. We don't know where the metal gear is, exactly. We don't know how to bypass the security locks. If there is a chance that Hal can help us, I'd rather take it, because we sure as hell aren't gonna get to the metal gear on our own!
DB: Why will Hal help us? How do we know this isn't a trap?
JL: We'll have to find out, won't we.
DB stopped by another electronic panel beside a thick metal door. He swiped the card, and the door hissed open.
JL: Where are we going?
DB: We'll just have to find out, won't we?

DB and JL were curious. Who was Hal and would he help them? It was something on both of their minds. And what of the ninja? Was he leading them to help or to their doom? Noone knew yet but they would find out later.
The two looked at all the doors they came across but most were locked under level 2 or higher security. They finally found a level 1 door and a few feet down the hall a totally unlocked door. DB used the card to unlock the door and the two stepped into the room. They didn't know where they were but a sign on the wall said "Armory 1" and listed 6 different rooms. Most of the rooms were on security locks level 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 but one door was unlocked. They walked around in the giant warehouse and looked for the open room.
Meanwhile kid was still looking around in the room he was in. There wasn't anything interesting except for a box of ammo which he took. He opened the door, pistol in his right hand, and walked out of the room. He looked down the corridor and still saw no guards. He walked to the right corridor since he came from the left. The doors in this sector were locked as well and kid currently had a level 1 card.
As he walked down the hallway a guard came out of a door and kid quickly reacted by firing a bullet to his head. He inspected the guards body and found a level 2 security card.
Little did kid know he was about to enter the same area as DaBomb and JeanLuc. Kid took the level 2 card and looked at the door the guard came from. It was a level 2 room. Kid swiped the card through the card reader and walked into the room once the door opened. He saw a sign that said "Armory 1" and something about 6 diffent rooms. Five of which were under heavy locks and one unlocked room. Kid could get into the level 2 room and the unlocked room.
Kid went off in the warehouse and searched for the unlocked room. As he looked around he stumbled upon DaBomb and JeanLuc who were also looking for the unlocked door........

"Well, you're a sight for sore eyes!" JL smiled, "Where have you been, kid?"
"Mostly inspecting. IWhat are the chances of finding you here?" kid replied.
"What about Commando?" DB asked.
"In his last transmission he told me he was making his way onto a train," kid responded.
"Was he OK?" DB said, knowing that he had put Commando in danger.
Kid paused. "...maybe. But before we go looking for him or the metal gear, I think we should arm up."
The three began to open what doors they could with their access cards, and began to arm up. JL packed his backpack and holster with Desert Eagle Ammunition and chose an AK-47 as his new primary weapon. DB chose the shotgun, along with a Magnum, and kid armed himself with several grenades and a chaingun.
In one of the rooms was a map of the vicinity. Most of the rooms on the map were only storage areas and small offices, but kid spotted a service elevator several hundred metres away.
"Where would it go?" JL asked.
"Most service elevators like that go throughout the facility."
DB bit his lip. "Then obviously it's gonna have some tight security. I doubt a level1 or 2 access would be enough."
"Well, let's check over anyway," kid said, "We may get lucky."

As they made their way toward the elevator, they heard gunfire. The three hurried toward the scene, readying their weapons, but found only a score of carcasses, and pints of blood over the floor.
"What could do this?"
"I think I have an idea..."
DB pointed to a wall. "Look! Another message!"
Kid looked bemused. "You've seen this before?"
JL shrugged. "It was a Ninja of some sorts."
DB read the message out loud. "Hal will be waiting for you..."

The message must have meant to seek out some guy named "Hal". DaBomb and JeanLuc saw some message earlier and now kid sees the next message. As kid looks closer he sees that there is more to the message. The second part which is smaller and harder to read says "You need to take the elevator down a few levels but you can't use it yet. Look at the wall in the corner about 30 feet from you. Notice how its a lighter grey compared to the other darker colors? The wall is fake and was recently molded over. Inside of the box below this message is some C4. Use it to blast down the wall and take a look inside the new room. There you'll find a few oh how shall I say it........"friends" of mine I suppose. Just get in there and hurry before they die. You must meet the contact in there and kill this one leader."
Everyone thought the message was weird. Was the ninja really an ally or an enemy. It was still hard to tell but it seemed that the elevator would have to wait. There seemed to be a more urgent situation behind that wall. Kid opened the box and took the C4. He went over to the discolored wall and placed the c4 in the middle. Everyone stood back and kid activated the detonator which blew up the c4 and destroyed the wall.
The team moved through the rubble and came upon another discolored wall. Kid placed the second and final C4 on the wall and once everyone was out of the blast range, he detonated it and everyone walked through. This time there was a small room with several doors. The two on the right were level 6 and level 8 security level. Kid looked through the windows on the doors and saw a few boxes of ammo and a few weapons on the other side. He also managed to see gun turrets behind the door.
The third door however was unlocked. As the team of three walked in they saw a gruesome sight. It was a small room and at first only one person was noticeable. There was some guy tied to a support beam in the middle of the room. He was tied up with tons of rope and lots of heavy chains. Worse, the whole support beam was fitted with tons of C4! Enough to do lots of damage to the place. The man was still alive. He had some tape on his mouth.
The man said he was the Darpa Chief (I forget his name as i havent played metal gear solid in a while so ill make up a name) Charles Anderson. He was about to tell the team what happened when someone else walked in.
? ??: Who are you and what are you doing here? You're not supposed to be here. You must be those intruders I've heard a few guards mutter about. You must be responsible for killing those guards and writing on the walls.
Kid: No that wasn't us. I assure you we weren't in the area when it happened and-
? ??: Silence. That's child's play don't you know that. I know why your here. You won't find what your looking for. Why do you ask? Because I will kill all 3 of you. You'll never leave this room.
DaBomb: Sure whatever. Look, who the heck are you anyways?
? ??: I am......... Revolver Ocelot. I use twin magnums as my weapons. I have deadly accuracy and can easily kill a person. A group of 3 i will kill. SHould take me less then a minute. What say we get this over with. I'm a busy man.
(Note. This is the first boss fight. Against revolver ocelot. To be as close to the game as possible, during the fight the C4 is more like proximity mines- if you get close or touch them they blow up and it's game over. They also blow up if you shoot them. Also note that once we get his "Health meter" down to nothing the ninja appears and slices off ocelot's right hand. As I said this part is similar to the game so take that in note DB or whoever posts next)

Revolver Ocelot was indeed as skillful as he had described. The beared gunman was fast, accurate, and unwilling to bargain or negociate. He raised his pistols, and began to fire. Kid rolled from the first shot, only to be hit in the arm with another, while JL and DB were both hit without much effort from Ocelot. He trained his weapon towards kid's temple, but before he could get a shot away, a bullet penetrated his knee, and another his stomach.
"You!" he hissed at JL as he spun around. JL fired again while he rolled from more bullets, and was able to hit the enemy in the shoulder before being slammed into the wall by another bullet passing through him.
Meanwhile, kid had crawled toward Ocelot, and fired into his chest. The aged man stumbled backward in pain, though his health meter was still quite full, and tripped into the Darpa chief room.
"Blow the explosives!" DB cried.
"Shoot the C4!" JL chimed in.
"We'll be killed," kid replied. There was no time for thought now, only action. Ocelot had groped back to his feet, and was reaching for his pistols. Kid threw a grenade inside the room, directly under the C4, slammed the door shot and covered his head...

Kid, DB and JL dropped to the floor and protected their skulls as the grenade exploded, and with it the C4. The Darpa chief and Revolver Ocelot were trapped inside, and were to bear the full brunt of the explosion. The entire wall was smashed to pieces, metal flew about the room, flames serged out and set the carpet alight, and a piercing ringing filled the ears of all in the vicinity.
The three humans had made their way from the explosion and out into the corridor before lying on the ground, but they still bore terrible wounds from the experience.
"You guys ok," JL asked hoarsely, pressing his palm onto a deep gash in his forehead.
"As well as can be expected," DB muttered, cradling a broken arm.
Kid arose from underneath scattered pieces of drywall and metal. "We don't get pain enough for this..." he coughed. His hair and uniform were covered in ash and white dust, save for the few patches of blood red.
The three heard something. Was it a Ninja? Or guards? Ocelot rose from the rubble, and limped towards them.
"You can't kill me!" he moaned, coughing up blood.
There were footsteps behind as Ocelot spoke, and from out of nowhere came the Ninja, wielding his sparkling sword.

Ocelot had surprisingly survived the explosion and his health bar had lowered greatly. The Darpa Chief Donald Anderson was miraculously alive although he was clinging on to life by a thread. Ocelot got up from the rubble and approached the group of people. He reached for his gun.
Suddenly a ninja appeared all in reddish clothing and a mask to hide its face. He had a sword that looked like a Katana or something. He spoke.
Ninja- "Ocelot you shall not be allowed to hinder the progress of this team of people. They have a mission to fulfill and you won't stop them. For your punishment you won't die. But I will cut off your right hand."
It all happened fast but with a quick slash of the katana the ninja had chopped off Ocelot's right hand. It fell to the floor and his arm spat out gobs of blood. Ocelot snarled but didn't want the situation to turn worse. He reached down and picked up his hand with his left hand and ran off to the medical sector.
The ninja turned to the team of people and sheathed his sword and then spoke.
Ninja- "You are a good team indeed. But ocelot nor anyone else shall be allowed to stop you. You have a mission to fulfill and must complete it. You must stop metal gear from activating."
Kid- "Who the heck are you? And are you friend or foe?"
Ninja- "Names are not important and I am neither friend nor enemy. I am here to help somewhat to make sure your mission go's smoothly. If you stray or get into trouble I may help you but don't press your luck. You have some objectives. First go talk to the Darpa Chief Donald Anderson over there. He doesn't have much time left so hurry and go talk to him. After that you have to go down a few level and find DR. Hal Emmerichs laboratory. He may be able to help you and give you information but youll need several high access security cards to get in and also youll need to disarm some difficult traps and get by numerous guards. It will be a difficult task but you can accomplish it. Oh and in order to use this elevator you need a level 3 access card. I have two actually and will keep one for myself but here is one for you. Now hurry and complete your mission!"
The ninja handed kid a level 3 elevator security pass. Apparently it could only be used on elevators. The ninja turned and ran and went off to do whatever ninjas do. They had to find Dr. Hal Emmerich and see if he could help or not. The team quickly went over to the Darpa Chief Donald Anderson to see what information he could give the group.

JL administered a small health pack, but it would not keep the Darpa Chief alive for any more than a minute. The group would have to draw the information out of him quickly.
Kid - Anderson! Anderson! What can you tell us.
Darpa - 4 floors. 295.
DB - What?
Darpa - 2...9...5
JL - He's in a lot of pain. He may not understand.
Kid - No. He means the elevator, I think.
DB - So we have to go down 4 floors to room 295?
JL - Or section 295
Kid - Or maybe 295 is a keycode of some sort. We had better find out.
After brushing the dust from their clothing, and healing themselves, they proceeded to the elevator, where kid swiped the Level 3 access card. The elevator powered up instantly.
Kid - Be ready for anything.
The team went down 4 floors...

4 floors. 295. That was all the info they could get from the Darpa Chief. They didn't know what it was but they got in the elevator and went down 4 floors. The elevator moved slowly down and around a minute later arrived at the fourth floor downwards and the team walked out.
They looked around and saw some corridors in each direction. It was hard to tell which way to go but they had to decide quick. Suddenly kid saw a message on the wall that read "Hal is not on this floor but you must search this floor for some information and clues. You just might find some useful items around. Be careful as most of the hallways and rooms are infested with guards. The Ninja."
The team looked at each other. Apparently the ninja had already been here and had left a message for everyone. It seemed that they had to search the floor for something. There was a few items on this floor that they needed and they were going to find it. The troublesome part though, was the part where the ninja mentioned most hallways and rooms on this floor were infested with guards.
Suddenly kid heard a clicking sound behind him and swore he saw a feint white flash. As he turned around and looked upwards he saw a camera mounted just above the elevator door. It had snapped a picture of them and no doubt guards would soon flood the area in hopes of killing the intruders.
Suddenly an alarm went off and red lights flashed everywheres went off. A voice on the speaker said "Attention. Intruder alert. Intruders near service elevator of this floor in sector B-129. Send guards and personell to this floor armed with weapons and have them kill off the intruders. Kill them Kill them."
The team quickly raised their AK-47s and stared down the three hallways and waited for the guards to appear. Suddenly down all three hallways, several doors slammed open and guards began to pour out and began running towards sector B-129 where the elevator was and where the intruders were at. They started firing their AK-47s along the way.
What would the team do now? Soon they would be surrounded by guards. Would they be captured? Would they die? Or would they fight off the guards and survive? But how many guards were there?

Bullets flew in all directions, but instead of fighting, most likely o the death, the three jumped into the elevator and went down a floor.
Kid - What are you doing?
DB - We can't stay here.
JL - We were supposed to search that floor.
DB - We can, after the guards have stopped looking for us. There were at least 100 guards there. That is a number too many for 3 people to handle.
Suddenly, the elevator stopped and the power went out.
Kid - Great...
JL - So now we are stuck?
DB jumped up, and clambered out of the top of the elevator.
DB - We can climb up. Maybe the guards have stopped looking for us.

Kid- "I highly doubt that they would quit searching for us in just a minute. Most likely they are still up there waiting for us."
Suddenly kid heard the sound of an elevator door being pried open. As he looked up he saw that the guards had crowbars and were forcing the door open so that they could shoot the intruders. Since the team was on top of the elevator in the shaft now when and if the guards did open the doors they would be face to face with kid and his team. Kid looked around frantically and saw a ventilation duct. Kid knew they had to go crawl through and hope it would take them somewheres near the floor they needed to be on. Kid told DB to take the grating off while he stalled for time.
There was just barely enough room for a gun to be shoved through the small crack in the doors and hopefully noone could see in. Kid stuck his AK-47 through the crack and fired off the whole clip of bullets which killed some guards. Hopefully this would stall the guards as they would have to move the dead bodies out of their way. Kid reloaded but DB said that the grating was off. He got into the crate and started crawling and was followed by kid and then JeanLuc. As JL got in though he somehow had enough room to turn around and put the grating back on although not very neatly.

They crawled through the small sections of vents, moving quietly but swiftly, hoping to move toward their destination. At each section of grating - where they could escape from - they found guards. Soon they were tired, from journeying on all-fours constantly, and decided to drop down into an unoccupied office below. They kicked off the grating, but heard something in the distance.
Guard - They're in the vents!
His voice echoed in the vents, and JL was able to hear what he had said.
JL - We have to move!
They burst from the office, only to find more guards in the hallway.

It was awful. The grating fell to the floor of the office and let out a loud clang. Some guards off in the distance heard it and began yelling orders. The team of Kid, DaBomb, and JeanLuc, quickly dropped out of the vent and onto the office floor.
They opened the door to go into the hallway but guards were luckily only off to the right but they were running down this way. The team quickly ran to the left and ran down the hall as fast as they could. They came to another path leading straight ahead or right but to throw off the guards they went to the right. They ran down a little ways and quickly opened a door to another office and walked inside. Kid locked the door and for safety he moved a table in front of the door so the guards couldn't get in.
The team began searching the room while they could but unfortunatly found nothing but useless papers. DaBomb however found a ration, and Kid found a box of SOCOM Pistol rounds while JeanLuc got a box of Flashbangs. Suddenly they heard guards outside banging on the door and rattling the door handle.
Guard- "They've locked and barricade the door! Someone get the master key so we can get in! We need to kill these intruders."
It seemed their time was up. They needed to find a way out of the room or accept their fate and fight an army of 100 or so guards that had caught up. DaBomb spied a computer in the room and quickly went over to it and logged on. Did the computer have any information? As he scanned the options on the desktop DaBomb saw an item marked "Defense Systems".

Post by DaBomb on Sept 19, 2004 14:21:30 GMT -5
DB read the systems avaiable to him in the area.
Defense Systems
1.[Automatic turrets] --[6 turrets available]-- --[4000 rounds each]-- --[264 Rounds per minute]--
2.[Security Systems] --[4 security cameras]-- --[16 laser traps]-- --[2 gas dispensers]--
3.[Booby Traps] --[6 Prox. Mines]-- --[3 detonator mines]-- --[4 laser mines]--
DB chose to arm the automatic turrets first, and immediately a warning screen flashed on the monitor. Level 3 access was required for the chosen systems. Kid swiped his Level 3 card, and the system unlocked.
After typing some more, and exploring the extensive weapons database, DB activated the automatic turrets, and immediately he heard gunfire and screams outside. It took only a minute of the turrets to destroy 50 or so guards, but in the process the turres were all destroyed. Next, DB activated the mines, and watched on the security cameras as reinforcements dashed throughout the corridors, and were blown apart. Finally, he tried using the gas dispenser, but found level 4 access was required. Kid looked throughout the office for such a keycard, but found none.
Suddenly, thumping was heard outside, and JL realized the guards were breaking through the wooden office door with axes. DB activated another security system entitled "lockout", and a tihck metal door slammed into place. The vents locked up, and the windows were covered with a thick sheet of bullet proof glass. The group sighed in relief, but heard the guards attatching C4 to the metal door. Not even such thick metal could stand up to the explosion!

They needed to do something quickly. The guards were attaching C4 to the metal doors and moments later they would move back and detonate it. The team had to prevent that from happening. Kid quickly shoved DaBomb away from the computer and got on it himself.
Kid again tried to activate the gas dispensers and the access denied level 4 access level required flashed on screen. Kid quickly pressed the hack system button and the screen froze up and the hacking program came up. Kid typed in activate gas dispensers and the program replied Level 4 access needed. Please provide username and password. Kid typed in admin as the username and thought of a password. He tried typing in several words but it was access denied. Some passwords he tried were, Jeanluc, DaBomb, Commando, Kid, Kidgame, Letmein, activate, games, guards, securitybypass, yet anything he typed in came up wrong password. Suddenly a warning appeared saying that if one more wrong password was entered a system lockdown would be activated and that the alarms would go off and the WHOLE ENTIRE BASE WOULD BE ALERTED. Kid didn't want that to happen. If it did then the terrorists would probably destroy all the evidence in the building. They might launch a nuke or activate metal gear or assassinate hostages if there were any. Kid typed in metalgear as the password and surprisingly a green message flashed on screen and said access granted.
The hacking program automatically exited and came back to the screen showing level 4 access needed. The message went away and said "Activate the 2 hallway gas dispensers. Yes or no?". Kid clicked on the yes button. Even through the thick metal doors the team could hear the feint sound of gas hissing out of several vents in the hallway. Immediatly they heard the sound of c4 being set up stop. They then heard guards coughing and gagging and trying to run around but it wasn't working.
Kid used the computer and turned on the hallway security camera. It was hard to see but on the computer screen the team saw a huge cloud of green gas in the hallway. Their were seveal guards still alive in the hallway most which were crawling on the floor. Most though were already dead and the ones still alive died shortly after. Once all of the guards were dead an automatic filtration system activated and sucked all of the poison gas out of the hallway and then a message popped up on the computer saying that the gas was now out of the hallway, the guards were dead, and that it was safe to exit the room.

JL and DB high-fived Kid, who had saved their lives with quick thinking and ingenuity. But the hack had not gone unnoticed during the facility's computer mainframe. The network technicians had located the hack, and had asked for a security team, as well as several computer programmers, to head down to the office to repair the problem or locate any "visitors". Using the security cameras, Kid located the guards and programmers, and attempted to kill them with more traps.
This system has been disabled until repairs have been completed. Please repeat your command at a later time.
Kid - No! We can't use the traps!
DB - Only the cameras work!
JL - That's good. If they have taken down they entire trap network, that means there won't be any nasty surprises for us later.
They heard footsteps. They pulled out their weapons, and rolled out of the room to meet their adversaries...

The team rolled out into the hallway looking down the hallway with their weapons ready to fire. They saw nothing. They heard nothing. Yet the cameras revealed a team of armed guards as well as computer programmers and computer tech people (who were armed with simple pistols) coming this way. Suddenly in the distance they saw a hand reach around and toss a grenade their way. The team saw the grenade and noticed that it wasa flashbang grenade.
That was their plan. The guards were going to stun the team if anyone was there and then blast them while stunned. Kid ran up to the grenade and gave it a swift kick sending it hurling towards the wall. The grenade hit the wall and bounced back at the feet of the guards. Kid knew it was a good kick since he heard a startled guard say "What the hell? They've thrown the grenade back! Run for cover!". But it was too late. The grenade exploded stunning the guards and technitians. The team of Kid, JL, and DB ran around the corner and began filling the enemy soldiers full of lead. There were 3 technitians and a team of 10 guards. The team had dispatched the technitians so the systems couldn't be repaired and at least half of the guards were killed. The remaining 5 guards came to their senses and raised their AK-47's and Famas machine guns. Three more guards were killed before the soldiers even had a chance to fire. The team reloaded and the last 2 guards opened fire but with horrible accuracy. DaBomb ran up to one guard and slit his throat with a combat knife while commando ran up to the other and choked him to death.
It was over. For now anyways. The pathetic security team had been killed with ease and the computer technitians had been killed meaning the system couldn't be repaired. That meant the trap system couldn't come online but then again each floor used a seperate power system meaning only the traps on the current floor couldn't be used. That meant that any traps on the other floors could be used by both the team of kid, DB, and commando as well as the enemy guards.

Kid heard rustling behind, and saw a guard, pumped full of lead and barely moving, reaching for his walkie talkie. He managed to whisper, "Backup..." before kid shot him in the head. He picked up the walkie talkie, and set it to the appropriate channel so that he could hear the enemy comm. traffic.
"Message received," came a voice, "What problems have you encountered? Do you wish to me raise the alarm?"
DB snatched the walkie talkie, and spoke: "erm...no...no, there is no problem. We...just heard something. Everything is fine, now."
"Who is this?" the operator asked on the other side of the channel, sounding suspicious.
JL handed DB a security guard's dogtag. DB read off it. "Private 1st class. Mr. Jake....Morgenstern. Serial number-"
"-ok, ok, good enough. Get back to work then."
"I'll do just that," DB said, before turning off the walkie talkie. The team moved onward.
