Does anyone here have this game? It's the first resident evil game on gamecube. The one where you are in the mansion.
I just got it today at the columbus sale flea market. I paid $10 and the game was used (works like new) and had the instructions and both discs.
It's a pretty good game and all. The controls take a little time to get used to. I only played a little bit though but so far I think that the gamecube version of resident evil is harder then the playstation version of the game. Even though its in the same mansion the gamecube one is different and does seem harder.
So what does everyone else think?

I also have the Playstation resident evil. No I don't mean resident evil 0. There is a resident evil 0 for gamecube I just dont have it yet. There is also a plain "Resident Evil" game for gamecube which is the playstation game but with updated graphics and some things in the mansion are in different locations and things like that.

Resident evil is awesome! The gamecube equilavent is like the old Playstation version since its in the mansion. But the gamecube one is different. I think its harder. It seems to me that some items are in different locations then in the playstation version.

Yes DaBomb I know about resident evil 0 for gamecube but thats not this one. This one is plain Resident Evil. It's a remake of the one thats on the PSOne. There are noticable differences though like better graphics and a few more rooms to explore. It's great! I think that its a great remake.

Yeah Resident Evil and Resident Evil 0 are two totally different games. Resident Evil is basically just a remake of the playstation version. Same mansion. Same weapons and items and enemies pretty much. Some new stuff is added in to add a new interest to the game. I think the bosses are all the same. There are some new rooms and new puzzles to solve so even though it is still in the mansion the game is still great.
Resident Evil 0, that is a totally different game. I haven't played it yet so I can't tell you much about it. I think part of the game takes place on a train or something. There are two playable characters that you can control. I think one is named Billy. He's the man in the game. I forget the name of the woman character but I know she is new to the series.
