I hated Tomb Raider. At gamefaqs, there are numerous reviews giving it 4s or 5s, but when it was first released, it was hailed as brilliant. Why?
The controls are horrible, the gamplay is totally unfair and tedious, the replay value is nonexistant, the difficulty level is ridiculous, the sound is terrible, the level design is incredibly unfair.......need I go on?

I'm not really all that fond of tomb raider either. The graphics weren't all that good and the controls were ok I suppose. When I got my Playstation in XMas 1998 I had the original tomb raider game. I got bored and traded it in somewheres. Then one day I went to BJs (a warehouse club) and got Tomb Raider 1-2-3 which were $19.99 combined into a value pack. So I was like what the heck and I got it.
I must say from what I heard about the latest tomb raider which was Tomb Raider Angel of Darkness, Ive heard that it sucks and a lot of people don't like that game.

From what I hear that is correct. Tomb Raider Angel of darkness had it's share of glitches. Plus it was pretty unpopular with the media.
