Do you agree with Bush's idea for Social Security? If not, do you think you have a better idea to reform it? Or, do you think the program is good as is?
I personaly think that Bush's idea is good (only good one he's had). But even if we do that, it will not save the system. Bush has yet to come up with a good plan for transition from the current program to the reformed one. Before any changes can take place, someone has to come up with a good transition plan.

Well, what he's planning to do is take all the money comming in from tax payers, and instead of paying it out to people currently on Social Security, put it in a private acount where the government can't touch it. Basically, it goes from what it is (although I'm not quite sure how it actualy does work right now) to a government savings system. My view might be a little flawed, but that's how I understand it.

Then yes, I think it is a good idea.
But a government saving fund sounds rather pointless when the money could go to paying off debts or improving...something else.
