I knew there was a bunch of sets out but I didn't know that there was already 11 sets of cards out. I guess its amazing. Time flies when your having fun. I was actually quite surprised when I counted up all the sets out and came to 11. Note that it doesnt include the tournament packs or promo series. Anyways here is a list of all the sets out.
1- Legend of Blue Eyes White Dragon
2- Metal Raiders
3- Magic Ruler
4- Pharaoh's Servant
5- Labyrinth of Nightmare
6- Legacy of Darkness
7- Pharaonic Guardian
8- Magician's Force
9- Dark Crisis
10- Invasion of Chaos
11- Ancient Sanctuary
Thats all of them in the correct order of their release date. Each set seems to get better and better. The legend of blue eyes white dragon series nearly all the monsters were normal monsters and there were almost no magic or traps. There were a very small handful of effect monsters and some of the basic magic and traps from the tv show. There was also some weak fusions.
Metal Raiders still had tons of normal monsters but tossed in some more effect monsters and slightly more traps but not many magic. There were also more fusion monsters introduced in the series.
Magic Ruler had a big boost in most categories. There were normal monsters and a decent amount of effect monsters. There were lots of magic cards and a good amount of traps. There were also ritual monsters introduced.
Pharaohs servant I think had slightly more normal monsters and a good amount of effect monsters. There were a good amount of traps and magic cards.
Labyrinth of Nightmare i think had about an even amount of normal and effect monsters as well as traps and magic cards.
Legacy of Darkness definitly had more effect monsters and slightly less normal monsters. It had a lot more magic and traps then the last series.
Pharaonic Guardian has a lot of effect and a little normal monsters. It had a good emphasis on trap cards and an ok amount of magic cards. This series seemed to be based on ancient egypt sort of.
Magicians Force was aimed at spellcaster monsters. There were lots of effect monsters and a couple normal monsters. It had lots of traps a good deal of magics and lots of other good cards. It also intruduced Union type monsters to the card game.
Dark Crisis seems to be based on fiend and dark type monsters. Arch Fiend type monsters were intruduced to the card game. There are loads of effect monsters and a few normals. There were a good deal of magic cards and I think slightly less spell/magic cards.
Invasion of Chaos is based on dark types too I think. It has lots of good cards. There are lots and lots of effect monsters and a small bit of normal monsters. It has tons of magic and trap cards.
Ancient Sanctuary is the newest series of cards out. It is based on Fairy monsters and light type monsters. There are a lot of great new cards to the game. Almost all of the monsters are effect monsters. There are only like less then 5 normal monster cards in the whole set (not sure exactly but Ill have to check on that). There were also a bunch of magic cards and trap cards.
The next set of yugioh cards? Who knows! According to the July 2004 issue of Scrye magazine the next set of yugioh cards is called "Soul of the Duelist" and is set to come out in October 2004. I wonder what things will be contained in the series? The magazine didnt say. I just saw that name under their release date list of upcoming card games. Each new set of yugioh cards seems to introduce new things. I dont know anything about this new set other then the name but Ill post new stuff whenever I find out details. This new set should be interesting though.
