It is an inclusive and family-friendly race, whose funds were allocated to the Cinépolis Foundation to enhance the efforts of its main program Del Amor Nace la Vista, which contributes to improving the visual health of people in vulnerable situations who suffer from cataract blindness and generate a culture of prevention towards blindness.
“Los Halcones”, a group of blind and low vision runners in Mexico, participated in the race for the third consecutive year. The participants along with their pairs were very excited about the tour and their visit to Morelia.
“We are very grateful to Cinépolis for inviting us AQB Directory again and for all the attention they have shown us. Once again, the Falcons demonstrated that limits do not exist when you run with your heart.” Paulina Ruiz, representative of Los Halcones México, stated.
In addition, people in wheelchairs and the elderly attended, with the aim of making it truly a race where all family members could participate and enjoy a moment of fun and sport.
“This race leaves us with great satisfaction, as it is a great event that brings together families not only from Morelia but from other cities that come to run; In addition, the objective of supporting a cause such as the Del Amor Nace la Vista program is met,” said Miguel Mier, global director of Cinépolis operations.
It should be noted that of the 42 thousand people in the Mexican Republic who have been able to recover their sight thanks to the social responsibility program of Fundación Cinépolis, more than 4,300 belong to the state of Michoacán.
This is the result of the effort and collaboration of clients, collaborators, ophthalmologists, institutions, allies and on this occasion, of all the race participants who believe in and support this cause that belongs to everyone.
