Great game. The arcade versions is pretty cool with the shotgun that you get. It's kinda realistic since instead of shooting offscreen to reload you have to cock the shotgun to load it. I've never beat the arcade version. I've gotten by a few levels but it's harder since your arms tire a lot faster. Since you pretty much have to use both hands to play the game it is a little harder. The xbox version is easier since you don't use both hands. Well I don't have the gun for it. With a controller it's pretty easy.
Theres some interesting bosses and all. The game doesn't take that long to beat. Like most light gun games it can be beat in less then a half hour. The last boss is hard since his health meter takes forever to damage. The final boss also looks sort of like the final boss from the second house of the dead.
Anyways once you beat survival mode (the main HOTD3 game mode- the story mode) you unlock the house of the dead 2. When you select house of the dead 2 you get to play a short minigame. In it, you are in an elevator and you go to 3 different floors. At each a bunch of zombies appear and depending on how many you kill and how good your accuracy was, youll get a rating and an item. The better the rating the better the item. You can only use items (and only 2 at a time) in original mode. Also the items can only be used in HOTD2. HOTD2 is the same as the arcade and dreamcast equilavents. Same levels and bosses but it's still pretty neat. It probably would have been nicer to have the original house of the dead included but it isnt in the game but oh well.
So does anyone else have any opinions about this game that they would like to share?
