Has anyone here played Metal gear solid 2 sons of liberty? The metal gear games have always been one of my favorites and this one was average at best. It was just WAY too short. There wasn't that much to do. The game seemed way too easy even on extreme difficulty. I just found the game lacking in most areas.
I just hope MGS3 Snake eater will be a lot better as sons of liberty sucked (despite the good ratings from the media and all)

I kinda have to agree with you there. MGS2 was ok and all but it wasn't the best in the series. For a small portion of the game you play as snake and for the BIG portion of the game you are some dude called Raiden which sounds like a guy from mortal kombat.
The game was easy too I will agree with you there. Even on the harder modes the game was somewhat easy. Sure the magazines and different websites gave the game great scores. The ps2 versions isn't as good as people say.
Now the xbox version, metal gear solid 2 substance is a lot better. It's basically an upgraded sons of liberty. The main addition is over 300 vr training levels which are pretty fun.

Whoa, you haven't played MGS2 until now? Back in 2001, that was all anyone could talk about. (Until, of course, they beat it and found out how bad it was.) But yeah, you guys are right - Konami's hyped it way too much and let down fans because of the linear story-telling and overall lack of action. Substance, in my opinion, did little to enhance the title.

Yeah the game was just awesome when it came out. The cruise ship was interesting but it was short and the only part where your the legendary solid snake. The plant area or whatever its called is bigger, longer and has more boss battles and things to do in that part of the game. Plus you dont play as solid snake. Instead you play as some guy named rayden or raiden or something like that for the whole plant section. Raiden is like a gay woman or something from what people say and I can agree a bit there. Solid Snake is actually in the plant section a few times but as a non playable character which just sucks. This game was good but it could have been a hell of a lot better then what it was.
