From: SwissGuard7 | Posted: 4/5/2005 5:42:34 PM | Message Detail The snow fell all around General Von Klein’s villa in the Austrian Alps. The General himself sat quietly on a chair in his living room, accompanied by several lower officers, Commando included, and a handful of guards, who were dispersed around the grounds in large trench coats to protect them from the cold. The General seemed to not even notice anyone else in the room, he just sat and puffed away at his cigar. The others knew better than to disturb him, so they just waited for him to speak, but nothing came out. The General obviously had something big on his mind, or else he wouldn’t have invited the entire junior staff out to his beautiful private residence. Commando knew the General well enough though, to know that he wanted to get everyone well accustomed to his home before he spoke. He just hoped the wait wouldn’t be much longer, as he was mighty thirsty. The General almost read his mind, and nodded in his direction. Commando smiled, and got up and walked out of the room towards the kitchen. Perhaps it was the fact Commando had been constantly swallowing for the past hour. Or maybe it was really true about the General. He could tell thoughts. Commando brushed the crazy idea from his head, and walked into the kitchen.
Inside was a waiter, who snapped to attention as the young Colonel entered. Commando asked for a glass of water, and immediately was handed it. Commando took it and left, going back towards the General’s living room. Von Klein had been a hero during the Cold War, speaking out constantly against the Soviets when no one else would. He was even said to have led illegal operations deep into Russia, killing KGB members in the middle of busy roads. The General denied such things, but evidence pointed the other way. Even now the Russian government demanded that the Austrian Prime Minister hand him over. They were ignored, of course. Commando stopped walking for a minute and looked out the window. His car was parked nearby, and his personal driver Heinrich sat inside, reading a book. Commando turned his head the other way, and looked at a snow-covered guard with an automatic rifle on the steps to the front door. The guard looked up for a minute, saw Commando, then quickly looked down at his feet to avoid Commandos stone-cold stare. Commando finished the rest of his water, and put the glass on a table below a portrait of Klein’s Grandfather, an Austrian army legend. Then in a swift walk he returned to the room he had left. Everyone was waiting for him.
The General stood up and everyone else who had been standing sat down. Commando returned to his old seat, ready to listen attentively. The General glared around the room once more before speaking. “Gentlemen”, he began. “I need to know one thing from you before I can speak my mind freely.” Everyone looked at each other confused, and then back at the General. “I need to know if I can trust you all, for what I am about to say will change our lives forever. So where do your loyalties lie? To the government, or to me?”

From: kidgame2001 | Posted: 4/6/2005 2:41:31 PM | Message Detail Commando? Is that you? ----------------- Kidgame led a nice happy, peaceful life in the good ol' USA. He had traveled to many states and had even been overseas a few times. He enjoyed playing games and sports and frequently entered gaming tournaments. He had lots of friends and no enemies or at least none that he knew of. He enjoyed playing computer games online against some people he met. One person he played against was against a user known as "Commando". Who he was or where he was from kid did not know. The two were great friends and enjoyed playing deathmatches and coop games together. Kid was also proficient with the use of numerous weapons and guns. He had gone to several firing ranges and managed to destroy the targets fairly often. He had great accuracy and was always in the top 10 accurate shooters list each week as well as the overall top 30 each month. He had been named shooter of the week several times as well. When he entered tournaments he usually won a lot of cash as well as sometimes acquiring a few rare guns and hard to find ammo. He was a peaceful man. He didn't like to kill people nor harm them and had no intention of ever doing it. While enjoyed playing violent video games he was never a violent person in real life. He also had never been arrested and he intended to keep that good record. He was a member of the local mafia. While he was occasionally sent out on missions, they NEVER involved hurting anyone. Most of the time they were simple deliveries of bringing packages to other people or driving mafia men to a meeting somewheres. They liked kids shooting abilities but did not force him to hurt anyone if he didn't want to. He usually did have armed mafia near him as bodyguards and they followed kids orders very well. Also kid lived in the busy city of New York. He had a property owned in times square. He paid off part of it and the mafia were nice enough to pay off the rest of the bill for kid. That was partly one reason why kid was in the mafia, to pay them back and to help on a few odd jobs. --- Please visit my forum website. From: SwissGuard7 | Posted: 4/6/2005 6:35:06 PM | Message Detail Commando leaned in closer, as did the other officers. General Klein continued.
Von Klein- Gentlemen, Austria is in a state of danger. The government is forcing us to join the EU. This will get Austria involved with the rest of the world, and soon we will be at war, who knows where? The Middle East, Bosnia, Korea? I have tried all peaceful means to keep Austria isolated, but the corrupt politicians ignore me. I have but one option left. Remove them.
At this a young major stood up, and slammed his fist against the table. He then put a hand on his holster and pointed the other finger at General Von Klein.
Major- This is outrageous! As a loyal officer to mother Austria I have no choice but to-
An almost silent ping went off, and a small spray of blood flew out of the majors chest, near his heart. He stumbled for a second, then was shot again. This time he collapsed on the table, his body limp. From behind him a uniformed Austrian soldier with a silenced lugar pistol appeared, the barrel smoking. Von Klein continued, ignoring the dead major on his table.
Von Klein- The rude fool didn't even let me finish. Now, as I was saying, we must keep Austria free from the clutches of the other greedy European countries. We will storm the Prime Ministers offices, and execute him and his corrupt friends. And once I become ruler, you will be my top officers. We will protect Austria from the outside menace. (He paused and looked at the dead major) Are you with me or against me?
Commando was silent, in secret shock. Von Klein had gone mad. But he dare not speak out against him, at least now. It was quiet, until at last a Colonel named Eichman managed to speak a minor protest.
Eichman- Sir, we cannot combat the Austrian army. And the people will surely hate us. Isn't there another way?
Von Klein- A wise thought, but you need not worry Col. Eichman. I command the loyalty of the military, and the people will fear and respect that. The only troops standing in our way are the Minister's newly formed peacekeeper regiments, which will be easy to wipe out.
Eichman backed down, and Von Klein snapped his finger. A soldier with a briefcase entered the room, and took out a large check for each officer present. The stunned junior staff took the checks in shivering hands, all too terrified to oppose the General. The soldier then left and returned a minute later with a portfolio for everyone, which included plans. The General dismissed him and turned to the group.
General- Now, let it be said that if I catch one of you ratting me out, I will have you, you family, and your friends all tortured and killed. You are in this as deep as me. Do as I say and you will be rewarded. Oppose me and I will kill you without mercy. Now, I take it you want to go home, but meet me back here in 3 days. Bye Gentlemen.

From: Da Bomb | Posted: 4/6/2005 10:03:23 PM | Message Detail Hello there Commando! We should do an epilogue too, so that the old one isn't left without an ending. --- Chechnya...it had not been able to create any serious weaponry to combat the Russians, and so for far too long they had hidden bombs in shadows and waited for the opportunity to break from their neighbours. Six years ago, Da Bomb had begun a covert plan to free Chechnya, for a price. He had given them weapons, ammunition, information from his numerous sources and even vast amounts of cash. With his help, though, this small and weak country couldn't hope to break free without some serious weaponry. 3 months ago, the opportunity they had waited for revealed itself. What was supposed to be a swift and secret mission ended in disaster. Pakistan, which had long been thought to be nuclear free, revealed it did have a nuclear arsenal, one larger than most countries had estimated. After much pressure from the European Union, Pakistan delivered the nuclear weapons to the Americans, who intended to dismantle it in a safe area. DB worked for weeks straight on the project, and the time paid off. The nuclear weapons - 6 to be exact - were stolen while they were being moved. DB gave them to the Chechnyans, who began building silos. What would he get for his help? Well, other than the gratitude of the people, DB would get significant cuts of the natural resources, plenty of land, and eventually several million dollars in repayment. DB had other plans, though. Once the nukes were in place, and were revealed to all, he would look to overthrow the government with one swoop, using his vast empire to create a large army. --- Behind every great man is a woman rolling her eyes ~ Bruce Almighty.

From: SwissGuard7 | Posted: 4/7/2005 6:42:20 PM | Message Detail The junior staff exited the room, Commando being the first out. The General sat in his chair, staring at the young officers as they left. The dead major remained laying face down on the table, and blood was now dripping down the sides. The General did not mind such a gruesome sight. In fact he seemed to take sadistic pleasure in seeing the man who questioned him lying dead. As everyone left he called out "Remember, if you talk you'll wish you were the major here!" Commando didn't even hear him. He was already out in the large foyer, and wanted to leave as soon as possible. Out the window he could see Heinrich getting the car ready. He turned to the Austrian soldier at the door and ordered him to let him go outside. The soldier shook his head and said the junior staff could not leave for another hour. Commando had no idea why, then it occured to him that their staff cars and jackets would be bugged. The soldier said they could go hang out in the lounge until then and talk. Commando and the rest of the officers walked off.
Inside the lounge was a bar, lots of couches, and various paintings on the wall. Commando sat down at the bar, and his good friend Col. Schusetka sat down beside him. Commando knew the room was tapped so he didn't bother discussing the present situation. He also noted Kleins bartender had a holstered pistol in his belt. Two Austrian soldiers stood guard at the door, and another was on the balcony. So instead Commando and Schusetka talked about going on a hunting trip in a few months. Both wanted to speak about the treason of Gen. Klein, but knew better, as they would be shot, or worse instantly. The other officers engaged in a game of pool, and another few turned on the tv. The last one sat alone at the bar, drinking excessively. "That ones depressed" noted Schusetka. Commando whispered for him to be silent about anything involving the other officers, and Schusetka cringed at his error. The two then resumed talking about hunting again.
At last a new Austrian soldier entered and said the officers could leave at will. Each one got up immediatly and headed for the door. Commando whispered to Schusetka that they would talk later. He then ordered a butler to give him his coat. The butler returned shortly with it (bugged, of course) and Commando took it and put it on. He then opened the door, and was sprayed by snow. He covered his eyes and made his way towards Heinrich and his car. The other officers did the same, their top priority to get home and debate amongst themselves about what to do. --- -Commando

From: SwissGuard7 | Posted: 4/8/2005 8:21:08 PM | Message Detail Commando stepped towards the car, and brushed the snow off his coat before opening the door and entering. Heinrich welcomed him, and Commando motioned for him to start driving. Heinrich stepped on the gas, and the staff car drove up Kleins driveway towards the gate. The freezing Austrian soldiers in the gatehouse saluted at the car, and Commando saluted back. And with that the car sped away from Klein's villa, the other staff cars far behind it.
As soon as the car was out of sight from the villa, he opened the window. Heinrich looked back in confusion as Commando took off his coat and hurled it out. The coat went over the guardrail and down a seemingly endless cliff. This was the Austrian Alps after all. Finally Heinrich turned to Commando.
Heinrich- What was that all about sir?
Commando- (smiling at last) It was bugged. You should know that Heinrich.
Heinrich- I'm just a driver sir. I don't need to know stiff like that.
Commando- I wouldn't be so sure about that as of now.
Heinrich- (turning car down a different road) Why is that sir?
Commando- I can't talk about it here old friend. They may have the car bugged too. Just get me home and I'll deal with it there ok?
Heinrich- Yes sir.
The car drove through the snowstorm, over icy roads, through snowy forests and mountain passes, over bridges covering steep ravines and frozen rivers, until at last the car reached the main highway.

From: Da Bomb | Posted: 4/8/2005 10:06:30 PM | Message Detail DB generally didn't believe that others had the skills he possessed, and so it was a rarity that he asked to confer with his staff. One of his highest ranked officer was known as Brax, who had proved himself as a good tactician and a good shot during battle. DB and he were speaking about the future of the organization.
Brax: We have the nukes ready, sir, but do you really plan to use it?
DB: I am unsure at this time. If these Chechnyans prove to be worthy enough to ally with me, then I may be a little more peaceful - for the sake of this country. If not, then once I have received what I want, I'll fire the nukes and let this country be blown to pieces in retaliation.
Brax: What do you want? What are you getting out of this?
DB: I've used many of my resources to help this country. Firstly, I'll want...compensation. Either I'll be given it, or I'll take it. Anyway, these nukes are a great threat to stability in both the East and the West, so I may be given almost anything to dismantle them.
Brax: They could just take it, couldn't they? And they won't provide terrorists with money.
DB stood.
DB: We are not terrorists! We are not freedom fighters! We are not evil! We are not good! We simply sell our services to whomevr I wish, nothing more. Don't make the mistake of naming my organization in such a way.
Brax: I apologize, sir.
DB: Very well. Anyway, no, I doubt I will see any reason to dismantle those nukes, other than the fact that our enemies could easily come here and kill us all. Therefore, I won't be separated from these nukes, ever. That is, unless I see a reasonable offer for them.
Brax: So what is you plan?
DB: Chechnya is not alone. In Russia, there were millions of people who were pulled into the Soviet Union by their elected Ministers. And in Russia, now, there are people and cultures who have no wish to be in their country. In many places, there are problems those Westerners cannot imagine. These dissatisfied people just need a spark.
Brax: And you will be that spark then? The initial flame to begin the fire?
DB: Yes. --- Behind every great man is a woman rolling her eyes ~ Bruce Almighty.

From: SwissGuard7 | Posted: 4/9/2005 11:38:27 AM | Message Detail The car sped along the highway, then took a turn to another snow covered town about 2 hours away from Vienna. This was Commandos hometown. He owned a large house here and another mansion on the Austria-Hungary border. The car drove through Commandos gate, and Commando stepped out, and waved goodbye to Heinrich, who went to go park the car in the garage. A soldier greeted Commando (several soldiers were always guarding his house, like all high officers residences) and Commando greeted him. The Austrian private told him Col. Schusetka had come over and was inside waiting for him. Commando walked inside and saw Col. Schusetka pacing back and fourth. He saw Commando and the two friends began talking.
Commando- I can't believe Klein. He's gone mad hasn't he?
Schusetka- As far as I can tell yes. We must warn Prime Minister Bohm about the coup that will take place. Hopefully we can get a strike team together and take out Klein before he leaves his villa.
Commando- Yes, we must stop Klein and warn the government. But if Klein gets word we'll be dead. And he said the coup will start in 3 days.
Schusetka- What of the other junior officers? Will they side with him?
Commando- Col. Mader will. He knew about the plan all along, he was bragging about it in the lounge. The rest are too scared to even think for themselves. they don't want to end up like Maj. Oeggl, the poor man.
Schusetka- (walking over to phone)- I'll call Field Marshall Reinstadtler about this and inform him of Kleins treachery. We'll have a strike force headed to kleins villa in half an hour. We'll need to testify against Klein though.
Commando- Have them arrest Col. Mader too. He is at his house in Vienna.
Schusetka picked up the phone and dialed Field Marshall Reinstadtler. The two began to speak for a few minutes, then Schusetka hung up.
Commando- And?
Schusetka- We are to meet the Marshall on base in twenty minutes. And bring your gun. --- -Commando

From: SwissGuard7 | Posted: 4/9/2005 6:16:11 PM | Message Detail Commando and Schusetka arrived at Field Marshall Reinstadtler's headquarters in twenty minutes. The Austrian army base was packed with armed soldiers, many boarding trucks and APCs, which were ready to go. The Marshall himself stood outside of his office, a pistol in one hand and the other outstretched towards Commando. Commando saluted then shook his hand. Like Klein, Reinstadtler was a veteran Austrian soldier. Schusetka greeted him as well then went over to the 200 or so Austrian soldiers to brief them on their assignment. Commando and Reinstadtler went into his office.
Reinstadtler- So, Klein has finally snapped? I knew it would happen some day. It was good of you to inform me. Have you told anyone else?
Commando- No, just you. I sent a telegram to Gen. Eiser though.
The Marshall jotted that down. Commando sensed something weird but he couldn't point it out. The Marshall continued, abruptly ending the conversation before it started.
Reinstadtler- Alright Colonel. Now, lets go getb the bastard. You and Schusetka will ride with me.
The Marshall put on his hat and waked out, leaving Commando in the room. A brief idea came to Commandos mind about something suspicious, but he saw Reinstadtler's awards for his loyalty to Austria on the wall and shook the silly notion from his head and proceeded out the door. The Austrian soldiers were all ready to go. Commando marveled at their training. Most had assault rifles, but there were some snipers and anti-armor troops, as well as heavy machine-gun teams. Klein wouldn't stand a chance in hell.
Commando got in Reinstadtler's car along with Schusetka, who was enjoying a smoke. Reinstadtler got on the radio and ordered the convoy to move. Slowly but surely, the large group of trucks, APCs, and cars left the base and headed towards the alps. --- -Commando

From: SwissGuard7 | Posted: 4/10/2005 12:17:00 PM | Message Detail The convoy rumbled through the Alps, going rather slowly because of all the snow on the roads. The Marshall sat, blankly looking out the window, and Schusetka was finishing his second cigarette. Commando was cleaning off the insides of his pistol. Suddenly the convoy stopped, and the radio cackled.
Radio-Marshall, we have a slight problem ahead of us. There is a burning car in the middle of the road and we can't get past it. Could you come look?
Reinstadtler got up and got out of the car, followed by Commando and Schusetka. They past the military cars and APCs until they were at front. Commando noted this road was perfect for an ambush. On one side of the road was a steep cliff and the other was moutainous. Commando knew the convoy was well defended though. He looked at the wrecked car, a civilian SUV, and a nearby army engineer (lots of soldiers had gotten out and were looking at it) about it. The engineer shrugged and said that it looked like it had been here for at least an hour. Suddenly a loud shot sprang out, and the engineer he had just been talking to collapsed, spewing blood from his chest. More loud shots rang out, and Austrian soldiers everywhere began falling over dead or shooting back in all directions. They were under attack.
Up in the mountains were men in white snowcoats and balck ski masks. They carried AK-47s, T-180s, a few RPGs, and other weaponary. They rained shots down on the helpless convoy, sending Austrians down on the road, and an unfortunate few were sent collapsing over the ridge into the abyss. They Austrian soldiers returned rifle and machine gun fire, killing a few assailtents. Just as this was happening an attacker with an RPG fired a rocket into the back Austrian truck, sending it up in flames. The convoy was trapped. It could not move forward or back.
Commando ducked behind the car wreckage, along with Reinstadtler and Schusetka. Schusetka had picked up an M-16 from a fallen soldier and was shooting up at the mountain side, killing two attackers with AKs. Commando fired his pistol up at the ridge, but the light gun could not hit anyone. One assailent with a heavy MG 36 let a huge burst fly at their cover, and the bullets nearly hit commando had a brave Austrian soldier near him not pushed him over and taken the bullets himself. Meanwhile the mounted machine-guns on the APCs were put to use by the defenders, and the heavy rounds tore into the mountainside, blowing apart countless attackers.
Realizing these heavy guns were a threat, the white-coated men concentrate fire on them. The gunners themselves were swiftly cut down and fell back into the APCs or off the side onto the road. While this was happening Commando dashed for an Austrian army truck, and picked up a radio from a fallen soldier. He tried to get it to work, but it was broken. No one would learn of this attack until too late. --- -Commando

From: Da Bomb | Posted: 4/14/2005 9:50:54 AM | Message Detail Anreas Grant crouched behind a small computer console inside an unoccupied office, watching through the window at the technicians working at the core computer network of the base. He had a transmitter in his pocket, to relay his position, and a phone to speak to his superiors. For a large sum of cash, he would have to get into the main computer core and send any pertinent information to his superiors. That, of course, wouldn't be easy.
He sneaked out of the office, and found a security camera about. He disconnected it, hugged the outer wall as he moved to the next camera, and then disconnected that too. As a technician approached, oblivious, he shot him with a tranqualizer, and pulled the body behind a terminal. The room was reasonably large, and full of cover for Grant to hide behind. He fired again at another technician, marveling at how quiet his weapon was.
Suddenly, there was a startling alarm, and the red klaxons began to flash a fire red. Grant began to pant heavily, and in a moment of panic, tried to escape via the main doors. As he pushed them open and bolted down the corridor, there was a silenced gunshot from behind. He fell over, and found his shoulder was bleeding heavily. He rose, and tried to stumble away, but he as knocked down again by a forceful punch to the face. DB stood over him, massaging his damaged knuckles. After kicking the traitor in the ribs, DB said, "Take him away to be questioned. I'll be there shortly." --- Behind every great man is a woman rolling her eyes ~ Bruce Almighty.

"You know what I am going to ask," DB sighed, "And I know you will refuse. Therefore, I have only one course of action..."
Grant stood up slowly, but kept his distance. "What are you going to do?" he stammered.
DB whipped out his Beretta M92 and fired a single shot into Grant's left leg. "I'm going to ask you to cooperate. Tell me who you are working for, what you told them, and all other pertinent information. Understand?"
Grant was already on the floor and clutching his leg.
DB sighed and rolled his eyes. "Do you understand?"
"No! You won't get a thing out of me!"
DB aimed and fired another shot, this time into the other leg. "You have no idea how many people, such as yourself, I have asked for information. All of which have cracked after losing both legs..."
"Fine!" he whimpered. "I told my superiors the location of this base and the nukes!"
"Anything else?" DB asked. Grant continued to clutch his legs. "Anything else?" DB demanded, shoving the barrel into Grant's temple.
"You military capabilities...and plans to this base," he finally replied.
DB walked over to the door and knocked twice. The guards entered, and picked up Grant with no sign of pity or guilt. "Lock him up saftely after his wounds are patched up. I'll see him later." The guards nodded and dragged him out, leaving a trail of blood on the ground.

From: Commando1234 | Posted: 4/24/2005 7:33:46 PM | Message Detail Commando ran from the dead radioman and crouched behind another truck, firing away with his gun until the clip was finished. He tossed it aside and picked up the rifle of a soldier who collapsed a second ago. Aiming into the mountainside he singled out targets with RPGs and started killing them before they could take shots. 3 went down after being hit in the head, and a fourth came tumbling down, bleeding from three bullet shots in his chest. He hit the pavement and blood went everywhere. By now a large wave of fire was concentrated on Commando, and all the windows on the truck shattered as Commando ducked for cover. A few more Austrian soldiers fell, and an RPG exploded near Commando. As smoke, snow, and pavement flew everywhere Commando bolted to an APC. Just as he made it another RPG shot blew up the truck he had been hiding behind.
Meanwhile Reinstadtler and Schusetka were running down the line, firing at the same time. Austrian troops covered the two officers, killing many more attacks. Commando saw a sniper about to hit Reinstadtler, so he let a burst out of his gun. The sniper wailed as he was hit and collapsed back into the snowy mountain, his shot firing harmlessly into the air. Schusetka wiped some blood from his mouth and lay down next to commando. He said something but Commando couldn't hear with all the shooting and explosions. Another APC was taken out, and the Austrians near it were either ripped to pieces by shrapenal or lit on fire. More terrorist gunfire cut down 6 more as they ran for cover. Commando looked at Reinstadtler, who was simply shooting and missing.
A sniper bullet pinged off the APC armor, and a pistol volley from a nearby Austrian trooper killed the shooter. After this the soldier was hit by another sniper, this one behind a pine tree. He fell next to Commando, dead. Commando took his rifle as well and now with dual weapons stood up and fired into the hills. His bullets cut down numerous more attackers, their bodies crumbling over the side or backwards. Just then he was hit in the shoulder, and fell down. A medic rushed to him by was sent flying over the guardrail by an RPG. Commando lay next to the APC, bleeding heavily.
