.............Cancelled. Why? Well yeah this was like what 3 or 4 years ago? But the dreamcast version of half life was looking great and was supposed to be a near perfect port of the PC game and also support online multiplayer modes. The game was almost done and complete and then like a week before the game ships to stores it gets cancelled. I forget why. I think the company that was gonna make it got bought out by another company. Man that sucked. I was really looking forward to the dreamcast version of half life. I know its on PS2 as I have a demo but unfortunatly I dont have the ps2 half life as I cant find it new or used which also sucks. Oh and the weird thing about Half Life for dreamcast? The "Primas official strategy guide" for the game was released as if the game was out. Naturally I saw the strategy book so I bought the book to prepare for the game and then when I got the new Electronic gaming monthly (of that month back then) it said that half life for dreamcast was cancelled but there was a strategy guide that was produced. So I have a strategy guide for a game that was never published. Of course Im not getting rid of it since its probably a collectors item and worth a little more then the original $15 US dollar cover price. Although Ive heard that on all games that are cancelled there usually exists a copy or two of the full version of the game although it is near impossible to obtain as usually the original producer or developer has the original copy. Who knows maybe there is a full version of Half Life for Dreamcast. Just maybe there is one or two finished copies of the game that the original people own.
So what does everyone else think? Should the game really have been cancelled? Or should the game have been released anyways?
