PREMIERSHIP PREDICTIONS
ARSENAL
3rd. They haven't made many worthwhile signings this summer, and have lost one of their best players to Juve.
ASTON VILLA
11th. They need more goals quickly.
BIRMINGHAM CITY
12th. They still don't have enough flare, and Steve Bruce keeps wasting his money.
BLACKBURN
13th.
BOLTON
7th.
CHARLTON
They'll do better than expected.
CHELSEA
They have a ridiculously good and expensive squad. Leaders from the start, and unbeaten all season.
EVERTON
5th. A well organized squad, but one that can't compete against the big names.
FULHAM
Midtable. They've lost their goalie, but their side is gelling nicely.
LIVERPOOL
4th. Cisse is back, and hopefully the team will be more consistant, but Gerrard can't do everything.
MANCHESTER CITY
8th. Stuart Pearce is a great manager.
MANCHESTER UNITED
2nd. They managed 3rd with 1 in form forward, loads of injured players at the start and a lack of midfield creativity. Park Ji Sung will be a bright star.
MIDDLESBROUGH
9th. A generally mediocre side.
NEWCASTLE
15th. Souness has constantly sold players, but hasn't bought many. They'll have a poor start, but may turns things around after the Winter transfers.
PORTSMOUTH
Lower in the table. Another mediocre season awaits.
SUNDERLAND
Relagated, most likely. But still in with a chance of staying up.
TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR
6th. Martin Jol has a good team and plenty of depth, as well as Edgar Davids. But he really needs to sell some midfielders.
WEST BROMWICH ALBION
16th. They luckily escaped last year, but there is a high risk of their luck running out this time.
WEST HAM
Relagated...though they may escape the drop by a few points.
WIGAN ATHLETIC
Relagated. They don't have the strength to stay up.
Others: Rangers (Scotland), Norwich at least promoted (Championship), Barcelona (Spain).
