If you like the Matrix, you may as well buy Reloaded and Revolutions. As for Terminator, buy the first two, and the second Austin powers.
If you like horror/suspense, try:
- Alien/Aliens/Alien3/Alien Resurrection - The Thing - 28 Days Later - The Ring
Also try Predator.

If you liked Gladiator, then buy The Last Samurai, or if you like war movies, buy Enemy at the gates.

For my dad's birthday, my grandmother gave him the full season 1 of MacGyver on DVD. It's pretty cheesy, but rather good.

Hmm. Other movies.
Well, A Beautiful Mind is a pretty good film, though it is a drama movie.
Airplane, my fave comedy is great, and maybe Monty Python and the Holy Grail is good, though I haven't seen it.
Now, you said the Patriot already; if you meant the Gibson one, good. If you bought the Steven Segal one, get the Mel Gibson one.

Monty Python is great. Holy Grail is the best. The other ones are good, but not quite up to it's calibur.
Let's see, good movies...
Spaceballs. Gotta have some (alot of) good commedy. It's a Star Wars parody... mostly.
The Back to the Future trilogy. Those are some great movies there. But, if you have one, you need all 3. They come in box sets.

I'll look for that.
On topic, Arnie films like Total Recall, Eraser and especially True Lies are good, if you are a fan of the guvner.

Hum. I've never heard of Eraser. Or if I have, I don't remember it...

Arnie just prevents some high-tech weapons getting to a secret mob. It's pretty good.

Eh, whatever. I'll probably never see it. Stupid TBS, they're showing all 3 Austin Powers movies today. Stupid TBS...
Lets see, must think of other good movies...
Darnit, can't think of anything. Oh well.
