Here are some suggestions for some military units. If necessary I will include their information from the Age of Chaos site. www.chaoticage.comInfo- Points needed to use- Only include this if we are using points to determine what buildings and units we have. Include a point value anyways even if we don't use it. We can use it as a scoring method. Attack- Basically it means the units attacking power. On AOC it is referred to as Swords. Defense- How much defense/armor the unit has. On AOG it is referred to as Shields. Health- How much health the unit has. When it is depleted the unit dies. Pockets- Not applicable to all military units. It basically means the level of the units stealing power. How much stuff it can steal before having too much or before getting caught. Type- Ground unit, Aerial Unit, Naval Unit, Offensive, Defensive or something like that. Some units can be in more then one. Gold- How much gold it costs to hire 1 of a particular unit. Cloth- How much Cloth you need to help build the unit. This is sometimes used on vehicles and some base defense units. It is a material required for some things. Armor- How much armor you need to hire a unit. Mainly used for units that have shields or for some vehicles. If you want armored units or vehicles then you must give them armor. Weapons- How many weapons are required to hire the unit. If you want your units to have good weapons then specify the weapon level and suggested weapons for the units to have. Some units require a certain weapon level in order to use. Food Upkeep- How much food you have to give to keep the unit alive. On AOG you must give your military food each turn. Gold Upkeep- How much gold you give the unit so that it may support it's family and things like that. On AOG you give your military gold each turn. Mana Upkeep- Used rarely and normally on anything that uses magic power. Basically you need to give it mana or magic points so it can use its powers. On AOG you give certain units mana each turn. Runes Upkeep- How many magic runes you must give your magical units or beings. Runes are needed to cast spells and the better the spell the more runes needed. On AOG you must give anything that uses magic, runes each turn. Transport Space Used- How much space the unit takes on a transport vehicle/vessel. I think thats it for any important information. In my next post will actually be the suggestions for some military units. But the information here is important. All of your suggestions must include everything if necessary. If you hire a wizard then it needs runes and mana upkeep but no armor or weapons. Likewise a vehicle requires an armor and/or weapons requirement but doesn't need any upkeep other then some food and gold.

Oh and remember that we don't have to do it this way. I just posted information in the way that it is displayed on Age of Chaos. No this won't be exactly like it. There will probably be some similarities but there will be differences. Anyways post your own military units or buildings or whatever and then suggest how we should display the info stuff on reply #1 which I showed all the info typically used on AOC. Just say what we should use and should not use and suggest the values of each military unit. Be sure to include a point value though. That way if we hire units by using points and whatnot we have a basic idea of how much units will cost to hire besides gold/weapons/armor/cloth and any Runes/mana/gold/food upkeep units might have.

Sounds good. Just a few things:
- Now, I'm not sure about the stealing option. Would it pertain to a war, or is it more use to a peasant? It may get too complicated.
- The defined damage of each unit means that we wll probably have a form of RTS, where we post one move at a time. A topic could be made for that, but a story-based one would also be cool. For example, we could just use the basic stats of each unit, but we would continue on like a sotry without having those constraints.
- Ships. You gotta love 'em.
- Archery towers and Cavalry too, and perhaps 2 types of archers (longbow and crossbow, maybe).
- Upkeep is again a more move-based stat. We couls just say, "Commando used 5% of his gold that day to keep the catapults in working order" or "KidGame traded 20 cloth for enough gold to keep the catapults in shape".
- Limits on gold. We would only have 2,000 (as a rough number) gold in a mine, and only a certain amount could be mined every day.
- Traders. We could have NPCs that will trade with you, but they would have personalities and needs. For example, if they knw you are desperate for gold, they won't give it to you at a rockbottom price. Also, there would need to be minimum transaction costs (meaning, you could post that the trader gave you 50 gold for a cloth) to keep it fair.
Of course, you don't really need these. They're just suggestions.

Sounds good. I was thinking a story based arena, but whatever you guys want is cool with me.

Yeah thats fine DB. I was thinking lets do more of a turn based game for round 1 then we could try more of a story match.
