This is a list for available resources. It basically says what kind of resources both natural and some man made kind of stuff. If you want to use it you can but you don't have to. It is all optional but there is some stuff you will most likely want to use like gold. Here are descriptions of the resources and what they are used for and how to find if necessary. Pretty much everything here is from age of chaos but we can use it here too.
1. Land- It's listed on Age of Chaos. It is a number that tells you how much territory you control. Not a resource.
2. Wood- Wood is an easy to find resource. There are tons of trees all around so if you need wood you can chop down a few trees to gain a lot of wood.
3. Mana- Well it's basically the mana of your people. It doesn't do all that much. In a way, if you have more mana then your peasants/people/army have slightly more morale and are more productive. Some buildings also require some mana. It is mainly used on some of the magical buildings that grant magic powers. Also if you have Shamen they can turn a small amount of food into mana.
4. Views- Not all that useful. "Seers" give you viewing power. Basically you get to view some information about your opponents army like buildings, resources, military and stuff like that.
5. Food- Very important. Having lots of food is vital to a nice strong military. Your military and people need food to survive and fight. If they have ate then they are healthy and have morale to fight. But the longer they go without eating morale will go down and everyone becomes less productive and people start dying so you need food if you want people to live.
6. Stone- Stone is useful for making some weapons and also a few vehicles. Can be used to make certain vehicles or capapults. You'll always find a lot of stone in Rock Quarries so if you want to use stone youll need a quarry.
7. Runes- Runes can be created by workers when their occupation is set to "Runist" or they can be found laying around or underground but are rare to find underground and laying about. If you want to use some of the magical powers or be able to use some more advanced buildings or units, you'll need runes and the Runery building.
8. Research- Not considered a research but listed on AOC. Basically if you have some Scientists or Scholars, then they can do research in Libraries and Universities. When you get a certain amount of research complete you can learn new abilities. Or certain powers get better. For instance preservation research stops the decay rates of resources meaning you'll have more and it wont rot or go bad.
9. Gold- Normally found in mines. There is usually a few thousand gold in a mine. It will grow back if a little is taken from the mine at a time. The more you take from a mine the less gold that comes back and eventually the mine will be useless. You need gold to buy pretty much everything. You use it to buy other resources and to hire military units for your army.
10. Cloth- Cloth is something your weavers make from a textile mill. You can use cloth to make clothing for your army and give them a little tiny bit more morale. Cloth is needed to also make nets and some buildings need cloth in order to be built.
11. Weapons- You need a Blacksmith building and weaponsmiths hired in order to get weapons. Every day the blacksmith will give you a few weapons allowing you to equip your army better and prepare for battle and fight. If you don't use weapons your army will fight bare handed unless otherwise specified. Pretty much you'll want weapons.
12. Elementals- Certain buildings give you elemantal access such as Fire, Lightning, Water, Air, Earth and others. If you have enough of a certain element collection you can sometimes gain a new powerful magic spell that usually steals something from the enemy or you can summon a special powerful monster.
13. Peasants- Basically it is a number of how many peasants and workers you control.
14. Ore- Iron Ore. Like gold, Ore is found deep in underground mines. It can be a vital resource. Ore is used to make Armor, certain weapons, and if you have Alchemists- then your alchemists use some ore and turn it into gold each turn/day.
15. Armor- Helpful for giving defense and shields to your army. If you want them to survive long on the battlefield you need armor. Armor is made from Iron Ore and can be made in the "Armory" building.
16. Morale- Current morale level of your army. The higher it is the more skilled and more productive your peasents and workers are.
17. Networth- Your current total score for the game.
18. Turns- A number showing how many turns you have played in the game. It can be useful information.
19. Turns Left- Doesnt really apply here. On AOC it tells you how many turns you have left. If zero then you must wait for more turns. We will really only use this here if you get bonus turns.
20. Mystery Box- This is NOT on age of chaos. It is a new thing I am adding in for some fun. Basically I will post saying if there is a mystery box in the arena and where it is. If you want to open it then post saying that you send a scout to open it. I will post back and tell you what you found in the box. Usually it will be resources you gain but sometimes you can lose resources. Sometimes you gain more troops for your army. Other times the box could explode and kill your army. It is all a mystery so open the boxes to find out.
