Medieval Battle #1- The Era of War

(Couldn't think of a decent name for the title of the battle arena but this will do)

Alright bout time but the medieval arena is now open for business! It's war! Its an era of war. Its right after the dark ages so there is light! And probably some darkness during night time hours.

The buildings you can build are, with their turns to build them. Note that you MUST select the construction yard first. Otherwise you cant build anything.

Everyone will start with 10,000 gold. You can do whatever you want with it. You can pay money to help fund the buildings. Doing this results in the buildings being finished in quicker times, and also better quality buildings. You don't need to pay. If you choose not to pay then the time to build is longer and the buildings will be poorly build and have weaker armor or be build unsafely.

Kidgame awakens and finds himself in command of a small batch of peasants. There are only 10 peasants and 1 kidgame. They seem ready to work and want to help kidgame. Kid gives them $1,000 and asks them to start building a construction yard so that more buildings can be build and they can make protective shelters.

Hmm good question but I dont think so. You can only build 1 building at a time but I can set it up so that once your con yard is done, you will immediately start work on the ditch. If you want me to put a ditch in the que status then let me know, for now its just a con yard. It's like me strategy typeish games. Most games like this you can only build one building at a time so same rule here.

Kid continues to watch his workers. The building is coming along quite well and is nearly complete. Soon kid could start building other buildings and evntually get his war machine up and running. He was going to build a great city and have an unstoppable army. If any enemies appeared then kid would crush them without remorse.

Tommy Vercetti laughs. It was his dream, his goal, his objective, to build the biggest city and have the best army. He had plans to destroy anyone who opposed him. To start he decided to build the necessary construction yard first. He had BIG plans for what to build next. He didn't plan on losing. The only work in his dictionary was WIN.

I guess I may as well copy everyone else and pay the $1,000 for the con yard.

And that was that. Kid sees that his construction yard is finished. He grins and sees that he can now begin to build other basic buildings. He thinks what to build next and decides to start production of a FARM that takes 6 turns. He also pays $1,000 to see to it that the building gets up smoothly.

Also one thing to remember, when you start a new building add your name to the bottom of the list please. That way people who are almost done building are at the top and people at the bottom are the ones who have a while to go.]

Oh and I see you didn't opt to pay anything for the barracks DB. Thats fine you dont have to pay it is optional after all. Choosing to pay pretty much gives the money to the builders and they use it for parts and food. When you get a farm though you can choose to give workers food and have morale up and thus keep everyone happy, or you can hoard the food for yourself or sell it in the trade market exchange.

Money wise hmmm. Well you will have to work for money of course. When you can build ore mines then copper/bronze/silver/gold/platinum mines (yes in that order) after cleaning the ore you get the value added to your account. But until then each day everyone will get a small money boost. Noone knows where the free money boost comes from but it will happen once a day to everyone but it is a small boost and is not a lot. Use it wisely though or you could upset the gods who will take some of your money instead of give you more.

Hmmm wait I shouldnt double post but its pretty much just me and DB. Well building progress continues regardless of who posts though you shouldnt double post. Anyways I think commando left already for his trip to MAINE way up northeast so he wont be on all summer. I know he wanted to be in this. It would be unfair for all of us to go on and have a big army waiting then commando comes and has nothing built. So, I'm gonna be a nice guy and make some decisions for commando and get him some buildings up. When he gets back he can pick up. I will probably get him a barracks sometime and some soldiers but only for defense. I wont attack using his person. He can choose.

A 3 player battle (kid, DB, TV) might not be too exciting so I'm gonna add in an EasySim. Its a computer character that I will control. It will do everything we all can do- build stuff, fight and all that and it will hold a grudge if you attack it. The easysim won't get a money bonus for today because im adding it in now but it will get a money bonus tomorrow just like everyone else. Also the money value you get each day will be different and may be random amounts for each person.

Kid grins as the farm is finished. He can now start farming items and harvesting food to feed his peasants, and the military when it appears. When kids military does make an appearance it will be a force to be reckoned with.

Kid thinks, then decides to have his builders start making a Barracks. The thought of having a giant army and navy one day got to kid. He wanted to start attacking as soon as possible.

Now that you have a barracks you can opt to train basic militia men. They have weak attack and defense by themselves. There is strength in numbers as they say so the more you have the better your offense and defense will be. Now you can't attack someone who does NOT have a barracks or any soldiers. Other people that have a barracks but no soldiers you can NOT attack. The other people must have a decent amount of soldiers though. You shouldnt go attacking defenseless people. If you do go after people without soldiers you suffer a penalty and your opponent gets the favor of the gods where the gods help fight you off. If you wish to avoid that then dont attack anyone until they have some soldiers to defense themselves.

You can get 1 soldier for every $500 you opt to spend. You won't get the soldiers right away. It takes time for your order to be processed. The more soldiers you want at once the longer amount of turns (posts) it takes before you get them. Even if you want just one soldier there is still a wait time but it is a small 1 turn wait.


Anyways.....kid watches happily as his peasants continue work on the barracks. Soon kid can join in the war and start attacking. Or will he?

Just to let everyone know, you can now build a MINE. They take 8 turns to produce. You can train miners to go work in the mine. They will get ore and on exremely rare occasions, some gold. You may even get mystery boxes too. Of course the mines could be poisonous and you'll have to invest money to get them cleaned out. The price to clean the mine of gas varies depending on the size of the mine and how much gas exactly is there. Anyways, a MINE gives you some free stuff. First you get 1 free mine cart to store any ore or gold or boxes in. Second, 10 Helmets with lights on them. It is dark in there so the lights help you to see but the lights may not be too reliable. You also will get 10 free pickaxes to give to your miners.

Also, we need updates so this double post is ok. Building progress is updated. No more bonus money again though. Everyone got their $100 bonus already.
