Just to get things going, I think we should post some ideas about what we could debate on. And list what side you are on for your suggestions, so we can see if there 2 opposing sides who can debate
Suggestions:
- cloning (in the middle)
- abortion (nega)
- stricter rules on videogame violence (nega)
- religious censorship in public places (atfer the homeless man complained about Christian themes in a public painting...or someting. Any of you know about this?)
- mandatory testing for every athelete in the Olypmics (nega)
- Driving with any alcohol in your bloodstream should be punishable (nega)

Best bond battle general- Kid, DaBomb, Commando
I know we would all vote for kidgame of course. He is the best there was, the best there is, and the best there ever will be. I mean face it, kid;s army is just so much better then the silly commando and the UFGA army. We know kid could win any challenge any time any place against commando.

Darn I forgot the lie tags. Hmm maybe you were right DB. Maybe, just maybe my keyboard is broken. It seems like the one at my house, my vocational school, and high school they are all broke. It seems that they all want to say "kidgame is the best general" and they all forget those pesky lie tags.

- abortion (nega, but pro-choice)
- stricter rules on videogame violence (nega)
- religious censorship in public places (This is about the Ten Commandmants being displayed in public. It's a really stupid debate. Anyway: nega)
- mandatory testing for every athelete in the Olypmics (nega)
- Driving with any alcohol in your bloodstream should be punishable (nega, although killing or hurting someone while in the car should be)

Oh, that was supposed to say "any trace of alcohol, not just 0.08".

So is there actualy going to be any debates besides the tax reform one...?
Heres an idea... try to convince me that the 2 games everyone seems to love that I find to be boring are actualy fun!
Halo 2 is over hyped and the amazingly slow gameplay makes me want to take a nap.
MGS3: Snake Eater could have been a great game if they didnt have a top down camera. WHY oh WHY did they not just go with a usual 3rd person camera?! Normal people can see more then a few feet in front of them and dont have to use radar to do it either. I got to the The Boss... boss... in less then 15 hours on the normal difficulty and couldnt stand the frustration anymore, plus I had to take it back in a day anyway. All the survival realism doesnt matter much if the rest of the game is unrealistic. BTW is it unusual that I only had to eat a couple times outside of The End boss battle? Most of the food spoiled before I had any reason to eat it.
er right, heres some good topics:
-Should we still base law on what the constitution says?
I think we need to rewrite the constitution because it was writen by white christians more then 200 years ago. How does that represent what the modern people of America?
-Is true democracy possible?
I think yes with modern society. I could write a page on my idea but I wont do that here.
Oh and
-Cloning: I think its needed but should be highly regulated
-Abortion: Pro-choice all the way
-Games: Its an art form as much as any book, movie, or song is, and cencorship is restring our rights.
-Religious cencorship: Even as an aithiest I think that thats a bad idea...
-Athlete testing: I dont really care cuz I dont like sports.
-Any positive BAL punishable: Thats a bit too strict but I find the whole alchohol thing a bit strange for modern society. Distilling used to be the only way to get something clean to drink so it was a sorta needed. Today its just there for people to get drunk... Alchohol is a poison and the body tells you through taste.

True, the single player in Halo sucks, and in Halo 2 it's only worse. But you'd have to be quite a strange person to buy those games for the single. The multi is by far worth it. Or, it is as long as you have someone challenging to play against.

I personally cannot say. Many of them (no stealing, no killing, don't covet your neighbors wife) are good things to have as laws (just try to imagine a society without them). But then there is the one that says no false gods. Can't really make a law about that. What I mean to say is, take the ones that should be common sense anyway, and leave the rest.

It is, but not in such large societies. Representative democracy does work, but not as well. A true democracy could only work in a small town or village with less than 200 adults (assuming kids don't get a vote).
