Hello. This topic allows you to post games that you are looking forward to (ie games that haven't come out yet). Discuss other choices, post your own, ect, ect.
This can also be about which console you are looking forward to, as well.

Hmmmmm. I suppose these games will do for now. The list is in no particular order.
Unreal Tournament 2007 (PC) Grand Theft Auto Liberty City Stories (PSP) Killzone 2 (PS3) Full Auto (PS3) Perfect Dark Zero (XBox360) Soul Calibur 3 (PS2) Tekken 6 (PS3) Metal Gear Solid 4 (PS3) Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks (PS2, XBox) Quake 4 (PC, I think. Possibly XBox360 if I remember reading about it)
I'll add up more when I think of other games I want. If a new twisted metal gets scheduled for PS3, then I will add that definitely.

Perfect Dark is exclusive to the 360, right?
Anyway, I'm looking forward to Spartan: Total Warrior and Genji the Samurai.
I like hack n' slashers.

Hack and slash? You mean like diablo or something right? Ever play "Baldur's gate"? I've heard of it but never played it. My brother in virginia has "Baldurs gate dark alliance" for ps2. I played it while I was down there. It's a pretty good game. I'll probably get it. I did see it for $7.99 PO. Also, Champions of Norrath. My brother has that too but I didnt get a chance to play that.

Eh, I meant more of a LOTR/Dynasty Warriors/God of War hack n' slash rather than the RPGs you mentioned, but I was in fact thinking about both games you mentioned after my first post.
I've never played an RPG before (well, a demo disk of FFX-2), so the good people of Gamefaqs recommened buying the 2 games to mentioned to get into RPGs.

Oh, and that sucks about Perfect Dark, since I'll probably buy a PS3.
UPDATE: Add Winning Eleven 9 to the list. That's going to be great.

You've never played an RPG! Evil! Go play one, or two, or a hundred and three. They're all good. Well... Most of them are good. Try to find a free one though. Now I must add to my list. Burnout 4, for the PS3 and 360 (I think). Unreal 2007, for PC. Gotta love UT! Warcraft 4, for PC. If Blizzard ever gets around to producing it. Quake 4, for PC, and possibly for 360. And that's all I can think of. Again.

Well...I played that demo of X-2 (and hated it), and I have played that online flash RPG that I keep seeing in adverts.
Has anyone else joined BattleOn?
So LB, are you an RPG nut? Can you give me some good, simple hacking n' slash RPGs to buy?

New game alert!
Resident Evil 5 (PS3)
Next gen resident evil. It should look and play great. I just wonder what the 5th installment of this popular series will be about. Where will it take place? Lets see we've had a mansion, police station, all kinds of short (long) levels found in the 2 outbreak games.

No, I'm not a nut. I can recomend some good RPGs though. First off, PSO, or Phantasy Star Online. It's a scifi RPG, with swords, guns, and canes (all photon powered, making them cool). It's only worth getting on GC, as all others require online play, which isn't free. Next up, MapleStory. It's a free international game, downloadable at www.mapleglobal.com. You start out hitting things to kill them. You upgrade at level 10, and then you can do one of the following: Hit things, shoot things with a bow, throw ninja stars at things, or magic things to death. It's very simplistic, and still in beta. But it's free. Then there's Diablo, and Diablo 2 for PC. I haven't actualy played either, but I hear they're great. They're made by Blizzard, so I trust their quality. Also, Blizzard's Battle.net means that you play online for free after buying the game. Now, for PS2 there's Kingdom Hearts. Absolutly wonderful game. Sounds like a corny idea, but it's going to be up there with Final Fantasy. Also for PS2, there are some of the Final Fantasy games. I'd recomend 7, 8, and 9. They're the best. I haven't actualy played any of them, not having ever owned a Sony system, but all RPGers know just how awesome they are. I could name more, but I need to know what systems you have first.

Just a PS2. Preferably simple and cheap RPGs, too, please. Thanks for the help.

Socom 3 for PS2
Have the original for PS2 which I got recently. Great game. I'll go for socom 2 next then get this. Its on my christmas wish list.
Battlefield 2 for PS2.
Never played the battlefield games before. Now that I have a pretty good computer I may try and get the original battlefield 1942 for PC. I've seen it cheap so I may pick it up. I definitely want to get BF2 for PS2. I know I'll be into that for a while if I get it.
Serious Sam 2 for Xbox.
Serious Sam is one of my favorite computer games. I like the XBox version too. I want to get the xbox version of SS2 eventually. My favorite part of Serious Sam for PC and Xbox (luckily the level is in both) is that canyon level. I think its the 2nd level on the PC and on XBox i think its the 3rd level or something like that. Its where your in a canyon and one of those screaming kamikazi guys comes after you. You shoot it, Sam says "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah yourself" then at least 50 or so kamikazis spawn and charge you. Later on towards the end of the game there is another similar level in the desert but with more room to maneuvre.

Not really much has been out really that has taken my interest.
That said, there are two titles that might be good: Yakuza and Okami.
Yakuza looks flashy and really cool, while Okami looks weird and amazing. Like me.

Right now all I'm looking forward to is the new Zelda game for the GCN. And a few other things that haven't been anounced, so they don't count (or maybe they do... 1, 2, 3, 4, 5...)
Oh, right, and Halo 3, as one of my friends'll get a 360 for us to be able to play it on. We've been playing Halo 2 a lot lately, and I love it (although they don't, like usualy, I'm better then them with less practice ;P).

Alright lets see. Ive heard about that Okami game. Might be interesting. Next another game with a similar name- Odama. Odama is for gamecube. Its kinda like a war game (like Kessen, Dynasty Warriors) but is also a Pinball game too. You have soldiers on the field and have to use the microphone peripheral to give your troops commands. The pinball element is basically hit a big rock, preferably over enemy soldiers to injure (or kill) them. Some missions I hear also have enemy pinaballs and flippers but you can order your soldiers to take over them. That definitely looks interesting. I'm interested in seing how Odama is as a combo War Pinball game.
Oh and as for Yakuza that looks interesting too. I've read some previews on it. I heard the game is based off of some old 1970's movie of the same name. We've had lots of Grand Theft Auto games and lots of clones. The question is will Yakuza be just as good as GTA, or perhaps better (if thats even possible)? Or will Yakuza just be another poor ripoff like Driv3r (3rd game in driver series, wasnt too popular or good) or True Crume. Well I didnt like that first True Crime game there were too many controls and each button did 2 or 3 things. Too hard to get used to. Havent tried the 2nd True crime new york city so dont know if the controls were fixed.
But anywho Yakuza just might be a good game. That and the Godfather. Havent tried it yet either but supposed to be a huge area of New York (New york seems to be a popular location for violent games similar to grand theft auto). Like yakuza, The Godfather game is based on the movies as well but you can naturally do more things.
