I stay after school every day for an hour and a half until my parents come. Tomorrow, I can't do that, because of some lame cook-off. Here is a summary:
Teacher: If you want to stay here tomorrow, you'll need to pay $3 to gain etrance to the cook-off. Because we all know you aren't responsible enough to do your homework without wreacking havoc.
Me: Gain entrance? Is that all?
Teacher: Yep. Food costs more.
Me: Fine. I won't go.
Teacher: Then you'll have to go to the little kiddie after care. That costs $5 an hour.
Me: No thakns. I'm not paying to have some snotty little kid annoying me all the time.
Teacher: Fine. Pay us $5 to go on the bus.
Me: I live about 4 minutes from school. That is hardly worth the effort.
Teacher: Fine, tell your parents to come and pick you up early. Of course, they'll miss work, and so will miss out on $25 or so.
Me: What if i walk home?
Teacher: Nope. You can't leave school grounds, even though the area is safe and you can easily handle yourself.
Me: What? This is worse than when you give them the same damn school supplies every year, though I have the stuff from the previous term.
Teacher: So? You may need it.
Me: Doubtful. I know someone who has 24 spares and 20 classes during a week. Her school supplies won't come in handy.
Teacher: Just give us your 10 grand and shut the hell up.
