Ok I was at K-Mart on monday and as I was browsing the video games they had most of their games marked down. Most of their games including new ones had been marked down and were between $19.99 and $29.99 for all games although there were a couple of $40 and $50 dollar games.
Anyways though they had a couple of games marked down to $2.99! So of course I went and took advantage of it and got some games. They didnt have any game boy advance or any xbox games that cheap but some playstation 2 and gamecube games were marked down really cheap. Anyways they had-
Savage Skies -PS2- $2.99 (I bought this) Robotech Battlecry -PS2- $2.99 (I bought this) Ico -PS2- $9.99 War of the Monsters -PS2- $14.99 Madden 2003 -Gamecube- $2.99 (I bought this) Swingerz Golf -Gamecube- $2.99 (Sold out but I already have this game)
Ummm thats all that I can remember for now but as shown above I got Savage Skies and Robotech Battlecry for ps2 as well as madden 2003 for gamecube. They had some other games marked down for less then $10 but they were games I already had and a few I wasnt interested in. And they had no xbox or game boy advance games marked down.

Wow, Ico for less than $10? I've heard it is one of the best games in the past few years.

Yeah I heard its supposed to be a really good game too. I think it got nominated for game of the year when it came out or something. Ive seen previews for it on G4 that videogame tv channel. Looks like a pretty good game and I think 9.99 for a new copy is a great deal.

You can buy bullets at K-Mart for 15 cents. Or at least you used to be able to.

Damn those are some pretty cheap games. I think those are pretty good prices. Most of those games are pretty good.
I don't know about the bullets for .15 cents though. Maybe they still are I haven't really checked or gone near that section in god knows how long.

They now have another cheap game. Turok Evolution (PS2, XBox), is now available for $4.99 at K-Mart. I would have gotten it sunday when I was there but I have the game already.

They don't sell bullets anymore, now, thanks to Michael Moore. While I was in America, FYE electronics was the only place that sold cheap games.
EB games, on the other hand, is a complete ripoff.

Ico's available at my favorite Gamestop for $9.99 used and if you have the discount card then you get a discount (no duh). The prices of the Kmart intrigue me. Which Kmart did you find these deals at?

Have you ever had problems with used games? I never buy them, in fear that I'll get ripped off with a broken disk.

Time to revive a dead topic I suppose. It's been forever since there has been any activity on any board here. I don't expect things to pick up again anytime soon. It would be nice though if more people came and posted.
Anyways, around January 2007 that same K-Mart had more dirt cheap games. I got 12 brand new games for around $30 with tax and all that. 6 Playstation 2 games, 4 XBox and 2 Gamecube games. I don't remember the games and prices though. They had at least 25% of their PS2, XBox and GCN games marked down to below $10. I think there was only 2 psp and DS games marked down, but those were $15. Game Boy Advance had a couple for $10 also, but were old crappy titles not worth purchasing.
Naturally, all of their XBox 360, Playstation 3 and WII games were regular price, no markdowns on any of those.
Used game wise, no never had any trouble. The majority of games I get are used. Most PS2/XBox and Gamecube games now you have to get used. There still are new ones and all but those will slowly be phased out in lieu of the new console games. For older games like Playstation (PS1) games you pretty much HAVE to buy them used. Most game stores especially EB Games and Gamestop, they dont even stock PS1 games anymore. There were a few near me that would have a good 1500+ PS1 games (of course more then 1 copy of most games) and I'd spend over an hour viewing them all. On rare occasions now I will go into the EB Games or Gamestop and they will have a small box on the counter with about 10 PS1 games thats it. This also goes for the Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, and all other old systems. Used games is your only choice. Unless your willing to pay big bucks on ebay.
I've never had trouble with a used game. They always work just fine in my systems. They usually are a big scratched but just a minor scratch, nothing major. On occasion the game is missing the manual but not usually. If you purchase the gameplay guarantee, for a few extra dollars, if the game stops working within the next year, they'll replace it for free. For easy to find games that is no problem. The problem with that free replacement would be for rare hard to find games (especially rare PS1 RPGs)
