I'll say this: when I first saw the reviews of the first Prince on the PS2, I thought it would be like an old Tomb Raider, just with better graphics and some form of gimmick thrown in. Consequently, I was not at all interested, knowing that "slowing down time" was no longer a new idea (and was quickly becoming overdone), and having played several platformers (like the said Tomb Raider), I wasn't interested in another jump n' slash game.
Then I got it at a garage sale for $5.
Boy, how I was wrong!
Since then, I have been captivated by the next installment in the series, and will buy it opening day.
Here is the stuff we know:
- The Prince will have a less linear and more natural fighting system than last time, allowing a more realistic feel for combos - He can now go centuaries back in time, rather than a few seconds - It will be moodier and more hardcore than before - Moves such as decapitations, or simply slicing people in half will be seen
The last point troubles me. Will The Warrior Within be an "M" rated game? I'm not 17, and my parents actually know what an ESRB is, so I am desperate to know.
This is now the P.O.P. information topic, where we can discuss or paste new information in.

Yeah, I just can't wait. I've even started a new game of The Sands of Time to quench my thirst.

"Prince of Persia the Warrior Within" is rated MATURE. So I guess that means you can't get it DaBomb. I was at Sears the other day browsing their games and they had the game in stock. No, I didn't get it but I did see that giant M on the box so that means the game is mature.

From what I understand, Ubisoft went for a more generic, angry hero and lots of blood and gore. The new combat system sounds interesting, though. If you can run it, I recommend downloading the Warrior Within demo.

I still don't have it. I'll probably wait until it gets cheap and hits the bargain bins. Right now there are other games I want. I'm actually waiting for that PSP to come out.
